Mt. Blue girls and Maranacook Boys take the lead
The 2022 KVAC Alpine Championships began today at Black Mtn with the giant slalom competition. On the girls side, Zola Roberts of Camden Hills is the 2022 KVAC Giant Slalom champion. Her winning combined time was 1:59.78. Sophie Simard of Leavitt was second (1:59.80) and Sadie McDonoough of Mt. Blue was third (2:00.18). On the boys side, Josh Smith of Mt. Blue is the 2022 KVAC Giant Slalom champion. His winning combined time was 1:55.64. Sam McKee of Maranacook was second (1:55.72) and Roger Huguet of Camden Hills was third (1:56.09). Jett Lindelof, representing Islesboro, was the overall Men’s GS champion. The Mt. Blue girls and the Maranacook boys take the lead after day 1.
