Cape Elizabeth girls and Freeport boys win WMC Alpine Title
The 2022 WMC Alpine Championships took place at Shawnee Peak on Thursday. In the giant slalom competition, Brooke Boone of Yarmouth is the 2022 WMC Giant Slalom champion. Her winning combined time was 1:27.90. Ruth Weeks of Greely was second and Lauren Roy of Lake Region was third. On the boys side, Asher Lockwood of Yarmouth is the 2022 WMC Giant Slalom champion. His winning combined time was 1:24.20. Logan Shwartz of Cape Elizabeth was second and Tiernan Lathrop of Cape Elizabeth was third. In the slalom competition, Brooke Boone of Yarmouth is also the 2022 WMC Slalom champion. Her winning combined time was 1:42.43. Dana Schwartz of Cape Elizabeth was second and Rosie St. Cyr of Freeport was third. On the boys side, Tiernan Lathrop of Cape Elizabeth is the 2022 WMC Slalom champion. His winning combined time was 1:37.55. Zach Vogel of Lake Region was second and Logan Schwartz of Cape Elizabeth was third.
