Yarmouth girls and Cape Elizabeth boys take the lead
The MPA Class B Alpine State Championships got underway today at Saddleback Mtn in Rangeley with the giant slalom competition. On the girs side, Brooke Boone of Yarmouth is the 2022 MPA Class B Giant Slalom State Champion. Her winning combined time was 1:29.68. Dana Schwartz of Cape Elizabeth was second (1:30.25) and Anna Erb of Maranacook was third (1:30.42). On the boys side, Sam Roy of Wisdom is the 2022 MPA Class B Giant Slalom State Champion. His winning combined time was 1:26.06. Logan Schwartz of Cape Elizabeth was second (1:26.33) and Tiernan Lathrop also of Cape Elizabeth was third (1:26.77). The Yarmouth girls are in first place with 751 points; Cape Elizabeth girls are in second with 745 points. The Cape Elizabeth boys take lead after day 1 with 784 points and Maranacook boys are in second with 750 points. The MPA Class B Alpine Skiing Championships continue on Friday with the slalom competition. RESULTS
