Mt Blue girls and Falmouth/Waynfelte boys take the lead
The 2022 MPA Class A Alpine Skiing Championships got underway today at Black Mtn in Rumford with the giant slalom competition. On the girls side, Hadley Prewit of Marshwood is the 2022 MPA Class A Giant Slalom State Champion. Her winning combined time was 1:45.83. Lydia Phipps of Marshwood was second (1:47.20) and Celia Geci of Falmouth was third (1:49.83). On the boys side, Andrew Christie of Falmouth is the 2022 MPA Class A Giant Slalom State Champion. His winning combined time was 1:41.92. Quinn Maguire of Marshwood was second (1:42.71) and Jett Lindelof of Isleboro was third (1:44.60). The Mt Blue girls are in the lead after day 1 with 769 points; Freeport/Brunswick girls are in second with 738 points. The Falmouth/Waynflete boys take the lead after day 1 with 752 points; Mt Blue boys are in second with 736 points.
