Mt Blue girls and Freeport/Brunwick boys win 2022 MPA Class A State Title
The 2022 MPA Class A Alpiine Skiing Championships concluded today at Black Mtn with the slalom competition . Due to the weather and snow conditions, only one run was contested. On the girls side, Sarah Hare of Windham is the 2022 MPA Class A Slalom State Champoion. Her winning time was 48.94. Celia Geci of Falmouth was second (49.61) and Elizabeth Dieterich of Oxford Hills was third (50.06). On the boys side, Andrew Christie of Falmouth is the 2022 MPA Class A Slalom State Champion. He also won the giant slalom title. His winning time was 43.84. Josh Smith of Mt Blue was second (44.39) and Tim Teguis of Kennebunk was third (45.56). The Mt Blue girls and the Freeport/Brunswick boys are the 2022 MPA Class A Alpine Team State Champions. Mt Blue girls finished with 1,537 points. In second place were the Freeport/Brunswick girls with 1,429. Freeport/Brunswick boys got 1,491 points while the Mt Blue boys were runners-up with 1,483 points.
