The Telstar Relays will happen on Jan. 3rd as scheduled. They will be taking place at Gould Academy’s Pine Hill course. Thank you to Gould Academy for generously helping us make this happen. The course will be a 2.5km loop. Otherwise, the format will remain the same. There will be A and B waves, and an individual race that starts minutes after the B wave. Please remember that results will be posted exactly as you submit your rosters. The bib numbers and names will not change. Bib numbers must come through in the correct order or your team will be disqualified.
Parking at the venue will be very limited. We will try to keep as many buses as possible on site so that kids can stay warm. Buses that do not fit will need to park at Telstar. It will be great if some teams can share their bus space for warmth. THERE WILL BE NO PARKING AT THE VENUE FOR PARENTS. We will have a shuttle bus available to pick up parents at the Telstar parking lot, Gould Field House, or the Casablanca parking area in town. There will be porta-potties available, but no indoor facilities at the venue. Please make sure to dress warmly and have plenty of food. Registration will happen right next to the parking area starting at 9am.
Directions to Pine Hill from Telstar: Go north on Rt. 26 until you get to Davis Park, 1 mile from Telstar. At that point continue straight ahead, cross the railroad tracks, and turn right onto Railroad Street. Continue until the street merges with Route 2 West. Just after this merge, turn left at the old gas station onto Route 5/35 south (Lovers’ Lane). Go up and over the hill, and then turn right onto Grover Hill Rd. The Pine Hill ski area will be at the top of the first rise. There is no sign, but there should be someone directing traffic.
